Good old days have passed us. I am talking of the days when everyone was united by one common goal. The common goal that all shared was to defeat a mutual enemy. The mission has long been accomplished, but some people are still fighting battles that we don’t know of. Yes people must fight, they must fight for democracy, they must fight for free education, and I am talking about decent jobs. People should have economic freedom. Now I ask, why do people always have to be radical and militant when the time for that has passed? South Africans have entrusted one party with their confidence to rule this beautiful country, a country rich in natural resources and minerals, a country rich in anything from agriculture and anything in between.
Those entrusted with the responsibility to lead have forgotten their course, they have since forgotten who put them there, what they now remember is, their bank balances must be in multiple digits. They drive around in expensive cars, they attend parties for the selected elites, they travel in business class, they even abandon their homes, I am talking about real homes where they were born and bred. They are now in a revolution for a selected few, a revolution that benefit only those who can afford tailored suits, those who can afford to rent a building for R500 million, I am talking about the gravy train revolution that is televised live all across the country.
One revolutionary who has always presented a look of a caring man, a look of a caring president, a millionaire who dances with a shack dweller to a maskandi beat has now turned the corner. "I will sit under the tree with fellow head men in Nkandla, I will dance to Mshini wami even as president, and I will still fly economy class". These words uttered by the machine gun crazy president and published in 2009 in one of South Africa's weekend publications still rings clear in my mind. Fellow revolutionaries have now made him aware of the situation, of that revolution that is being televised live, for a revolution that the beautiful country of Mzansi Africa is watching like they do every prime time at 20h00 when they sit around their back and white TV sets, colour for those who can afford. I am talking about the ones that are being switched on using power from a car battery or a noisy generator. The honourable president was all over the news when it emerged that a sauna and a chandelier worth millions were to be added to his "presidential place". I can bet my last Zim dollar that our beloved president didn’t even know what a chandelier is, he didn’t even know how to run a sauna, he suspect he still doesn’t know even now, unless the ever hard working Collins Chabane has explained it to him.
It baffles me when one man who accused a self proclaimed "Sushi king" of being a hyena is keeping quiet about the extravagant items that the revolutionaries are getting. He made a lot of noise like a jackal that has lost its way home when Kunene splashed millions on a lavish party, when he ate sushi from naked models, not to say I support what Kenny Kunene has done, I am against it as it degrades women and its way against the morals and values my grand mother taught me. If one was to ask or get documentation about how much a steam room and a sauna room costs, one will realise that even a finished RDP doesn’t even come close. Yes I am talking about the RDPs that they build for our families with cheap and diluted material. The RDP's that fall every rain season, the ones that kill or handicap our brothers and daughters.
One man vowed live on TV, in front of the nation, in front of Mzilikazi wa Afrika, to fight corruption to the core. It was embarrassing to find out that the very same man implicated in the police lease scandal. It took the President a period of time to act against the trigger crazy "Zulu boy from Cuba". Like his predecessor, he still maintains that "his hands are clean". He even tried to intimidate the ever digging Wa Afrika by sending his cronies to jail him. I can tell you now, if you were to ask him to explain the charges against Wa Afrika, he wont tell you, what he will say is "We must fight crime with an iron fist, kill or be killed, so I say shoot first"
An idea made its way to one of the crazy minds in this country; I am talking about the mind of the Juju boy, the tenderpreneur, a boy who is a sole beneficiary of a multi million rands trust fund. He is none other than a radical and militant Julius Sello Malema who apparently joined the ANC at only nine years, when he didn’t even know what a racist was; all he knew was to buy a "kota" at Masakaneng. Though he has denied having any company under his name, the young president from Seshego has successfully organised a march titled "March for economic freedom" where blacks too can get to "eat cheese and pizza" The boy wants all the minerals in this country nationalised, but one wonders why they should be if he cant use nationalised entities? Remember a couple of weeks ago when he was admitted to a private hospital to be treated for "flu like symptoms"? I think it would have made sense for a self proclaimed champion of the poor to go to a public hospital, but who am I kidding, how can I expect him to go there when he has shelved plans to renovate his Sandton home by a staggering R17 million?
Enough about the Pedi puppet, I think as South Africans we need to smell the coffee, we need to learn from or own mistakes. I mean a wise man cannot fall in the same hole three times in two days. We must show these opulent leaders that we run the show, not them. I just laugh when I think of our honourable president. All his children are enjoying the tax payer’s money. It is evident that they have a plan to have lavish weddings at game lodges before the president leaves the Union Buildings. So far a handful of weddings have occurred, with the president himself walking down the aisle for I don’t know how many time. I bet it’s their plan to have all the Zumas and some distant relatives to have an "all expense paid by the state" wedding before Xamalala gets booted out of office.
Are we as going to fold our arms and act like this doesn’t concern us? Are we going to cry foul whenever RDP's and roads are left near completion? I say "once bitten, twice shy". Let’s do something about the situation. It is up to us to act against this. Our views must be heard. We can not be living like this. People like Mzilikazi wa Afrika should be applauded for the good job they do. People like Ferrial Haffajee and Piet Rampedi should get credit because they deserve it. The solution, I say we steal the cables of this revolutionary gravy trains, I say we destroy their tracks, I say we put them on the front page everyday for everyone to see. I say we expose this hyenas, I say we take back what belongs to us; I say we demand a better life for all.
